With the return of Damian McGinty for its Christmas special, “Glee” season 4 is already doing a great job of proving one thing: they certainly do their best to take care of their own. Now, it looks as though the show is adding to this list by bringing back someone else who was a key player for at least a certain portion of season 2: Lauren Zizes.
Multiple sources have now confirmed what was at first just a rumor that Ashley Fink had return to the show to tape a guest-starring gig, which should air for the show’s first episode back in January. We don’t know fully what exactly is going to bring Lauren back into the picture, but the episode will be themed around a Sadie Hawkins Dance and her appearance is currently slated to be just one episode.
Really, the issue with Lauren to begin with was not necessarily that she was a bad character, but there wasn’t really any story left to tell for her following her relationship with Puck. The two broke up in the first episode of season 3, and the character had not been seen or heard of since until now. Obviously, the good thing about a show like “Glee” is that most of the characters are never so far away from the world of McKinley High that they could feasibly be called back if the situation called on it. Luckily, we are in this very situation now when it comes to Lauren.
