‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: Expect a shocker soon

On “The Big Bang Theory,” it is hard to necessarily be surprised by much given that we all seem to know the characters so well; however, there is apparently still going to be coming up during Thursday night’s all-new installment “The Fish Guts Displacement” that will manage to turn quite a few heads.

With that in mind, we turn to the following message from executive producer Bill Prady, who is never someone to hype something up unless the twist being promised is indeed worthwhile. Here is what he had to say on his Twitter account early Thursday:

“All right, if the ending of tonight’s #bigbangtheory doesn’t leave your jaws on the floor, I just don’t know what’s up with you.”

Since we of course cannot tell you the twist, what we will explain instead here is the story behind this episode. As we shared in the preview video here, one part of the story this week is going to be focusing on just what happens when Sheldon tries to take care of an ailing Amy, and realizes that this is not in any way the easy proposition that he thought it was going to be. Meanwhile, the other facet of this story is going to revolve around Howard Wolowitz going on a fishing trip with Bernadette’s father, which is the sort of “in-law” bonding one is expected to be a part of after getting married. Given that Howard is probably the last person in the known world who needs to be out on a fishing trip, we can imagine that this probably goes pretty badly.
