‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6, episode 10 preview: The placebo effect

The Big Bang TheoryThere’s nothing that can cure an illness quite like the prospect of intimacy with your significant other … especially when this said person’s typical idea of intimacy is standing within three feet of you.

On Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” season 6, we are going to see a story that is built largely around Amy developing some sort of cold, and Sheldon having to be the one to nurse her back to health. When you remember that Amy’s boyfriend here is quite possibly the most impatient person in the history of mankind, it more or less guarantees that you are going to see someone try to do everything that they can (save from hiring a magical witch doctor) to magically cure you. Sheldon gets her to rest, encourages her, and even gives her a Tic-Tac “with healing powers” while saying that it is a test of the placebo effect.

However, none of this seems to have the same sort of impact on Mayim Bialik’s character as Sheldon announcing that he still needs to apply VapoRub to her chest. This may actually be the happiest, healthiest moment we have seen from Amy in her entire history on the show. While it is not shown in the clip below, Thursday’s episode will also feature Howard trying to bond with Bernadette’s father (Casey Sander) by embarking on a fishing trip, one that (knowing Howard) is not exactly going to be as manly as he was hoping for.

What do you think about this video, and do you think Sheldon will actually go through with his VapoRub promise? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can also check out some more casting news for “The Big Bang Theory” season 6 over at the link here.
