ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2, episode 10 preview: Are Emily and [spoiler] together?

If you have been worried like us that “Revenge” spent much of its first nine episodes this season spinning its wheels, there does seem to be some good news on the horizon: some characters will be making some of their biggest moves yet in 2013.

In the first promo for the show’s January 6 return “Power,” we might as well start off with the biggest shock of all of them: Emily and Daniel could somehow be back together. This seems to be a byproduct of Victoria’s new alliance with Emily VanCamp’s character, as well as her proclaiming that her son still has feelings for her. We surely know at this moment that Daniel is in a vulnerable place following what happened with Ashley, and he is ripe for the picking. But is Emily doing this as a way to manipulate Daniel into doing what Victoria wants? There are always questions regarding motivation on this show, and this is surely one of the bigger ones floating out there at the moment.

In addition to this, there is also another fundamental issue that will have to be addressed if Emily and Daniel are back “together”: what in the world is going to happen with Aiden? Last we saw the man, he and Emily were having some sort of romantic relationship that was actually honest (something she does know a whole lot about at this point). Is she really going to give this up for a game of manipulation? Then again, Aiden is so honest that he would probably understand if Emily was forging a new bond with Daniel with ulterior motives in mind, and they could stay together behind closed doors.
