CW’s ‘Cult’: New promo tells us what to expect from Matthew Davis

CultThe CW has a few new TV shows coming up in the new year that are promising big things.  Not only do we have the highly anticipated prequel to “Sex and the City” called “The Carrie Diaries” staring in January, but the CW will also be premiering a brand new series called “Cult” in February.

Now that Matthew Davis character of Alaric from “The Vampire Diaries” is gone, fans of the actor weren’t sure where they’d have a chance to see him next. As it turns out Davis is the star of “Cult” and if the new 3 minute promo for the series is any indication of what we can expect out of the show then we are sure that this will be a huge success.

The new CW series follows an investigation concerning a string of mysterious deaths surrounding an underground show called “Cult” run by a man named Billy Grimm. Nate calls his brother Jeff and begs him to meet him somewhere public and when they are face to face Nate tells Jeff about the television show “Cult”, trying to explain that this isn’t just a show and they are after him. He gives Jeff a pair of sunglasses and tells him to keep them just in case something happens to him. One night while pumping gas, Jeff sees Billy Grimm in one of the pump’s monitors and just as Billy introduces himself, Jeff gets a garbled phone call from Nate.  Jeff heads over to Nate’s apartment to find blood on his chair and his brother missing and that’s when Jeff realizes that everything Nate said was true. Will Jeff ever find out what happened to his brother? How deep is Nate’s involvement with Grimm and his followers?

If you can’t wait until February 19th to see the premiere of “Cult” and you want a bit of a sneak peek now, be sure to check out the trailer for the new series below and tell us if you plan on checking it out.
