‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 5 review: Is Kim Zolciak gone for good?

On tonight’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Kim is happy to be back in her old townhouse and while dining on pizza with her daughters, Brielle tells her mom to get on birth control after this last baby is born.

Kenya decides to introduce Walter to Phaedra and Apollo, but when Kenya starts being overly flirtatious with Apollo, Phaedra is seeing red and wants the inappropriate behavior to stop immediately. Meanwhile NeNe and Cynthia are having a double date of their own across town and while they are planning their trip to Anguilla, NeNe finds out that Kim and Kroy are invited and she’s none too pleased about it. Cynthia leaves the room for a moment and her husband Peter tells them that he is planning for him and Cynthia to renew their wedding vows when they get to Anguilla.

Later while Kandi and Phaedra are out shopping, the women talk about the trip to Anguilla and how the entire trip was organized around Kim’s travel dates.  Kandi is worried that Kim will end up cancelling last minute as she has for many other events in the past.

Finally there is some resolution about the whole voice mail incident between Phaedra and Cynthia. Phaedra apologizes to her and Cynthia accepts the apology and deletes the voice mail from her phone.

All of the women meet up for lunch to discuss the trip to Anguilla and as Kandi predicted Kim is balking about coming on the trip.  She tells the ladies that she wants to talk to her doctor before she goes, citing breastfeeding, her cervix and Kroy’s camp as reasons not to go. When Kandi finds out that Kim actually has other vacation plans she becomes irate since everyone organized their schedules to accommodate Kim. NeNe chimes in and tells Kim that she is sick of her excuses and Kim storms out of the restaurant telling the cameras that she’s had enough of the drama and that her castmates are “crazy”.

There has been a lot of questions revolving around Kim’s exit from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 5, like whether or not she was let go from the series or if she left of her own accord.
