‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips

For this Sunday edition of “American Idol” notes, we are really all about performances, and with that in mind we are going to kick things off with a video of Adam Lambert

We reportedly recently that the season 8 star was going to be performing at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong late last week, and we now have a video of the singer performing his hit “Whataya Want From Me.” (Apologies for the poor quality.) Adam was just one of many guests on the evening, including the likes of Super Junior, PSY, and many of the top acts of the Asian music scene. While Adam may not Asian, he does have an enormous following in South Korea as well as Japan.

Phillip gets the Christmas spirit – On Christmas Day, ABC is going to air their annual holiday parade featuring a bevy of performers straight from Walt Disney World, and the reigning champ is just going to be one of many artists featured. The special tapes in advance, and this weekend Phillip recorded his portion of the show.

In the video below, you can check out his rendition of Phillip’s “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” It’s a slowed-down, chill version of the show that is completely re-done to suit his style. There are probably going to be some folks who love it, and some who prefer their carols a little more traditional.

Finally… We don’t have a performance video to share here yet, but Jessica Sanchez is going to be featured alongside many “Glee” stars and numerous other personalities at the Trevor Project’s annual “Trevor Live!” event … and luckily, we do have an embed for the event itself.
