‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Will Emma and the Captain hook up?
Everyone loves to romance the bad boy, right? Well, we are at least figuring that to be one of the reasons for the massive groundswell of support behind a pairing of Emma Swan and Captain Hook on “Once Upon a Time” season 2. After all, there are few other ways to really explain it at the moment, given that they still have not spent just a plethora of time together over the past several weeks save for a journey up the beanstalk.
As strange as it seems, though, both Jennifer Morrison and the viewers are on to something when they point out just how many similarities there truly are between these characters given what they have been through, and that there is a general feeling that had Emma been taken down a different road, she could be very much the same sort of person now. Speaking in an interview with TVLine, the actress does her best to explain why these two characters are in a sense drawn together, but also takes a realistic look at their chances of being a couple at some point down the road:
“It’d have to take some really interesting logic to get Emma to want to be with someone who’s a villain. What I see, and what I think fans see, is they’re very kindred spirits. They both come from being thieves and finding creative ways to survive life. When we work together, I feel that, he feels like a real partner — but not right now in a way that’s romantic. Shes met her match in him in other ways, though, so there’s a connection.”
So will Hook and Emma end up working together during the winter finale Sunday in order to make it to Storybrooke? While he seems more in line as a member of team Cora at the moment, you have to remember here that, at the end of the day, anything is possible when it comes to this character and his ever-shifting allegiances. If Emma will get him closer to his goal of killing Rumpelstiltskin, he will likely end up following her lead.
