‘Two and a Half Men’ season 10: The Angus T. Jones mystery continues
If Angus T. Jones really wants “Two and a Half Men” to end after ten seasons, he really has a funny way of showing it. There is no doubt that the 19-year old actor said in recent ministry video that the show is “filth” and he does not want to see people watching it, but at the same time there is a disconnect between these comments and what is going on within his everyday life.
According to a new report that is coming in via TMZ, Jones blindsided many executives as well as members of the “Two and a Half Men” production staff, as he had never communicated with any of them that there was a desire present on his end to sign off from the show at all. As a matter of fact, they had all made the general assumption that he must have been happy with his gig; after all, why wouldn’t he be given that he is making $350,000 an episode?
At the moment, there is no firm decision yet on just what production is going to do. Considering that Jones is not appearing frequently to begin with, they could just subtly write him off the show by deploying his character Jake to a foreign country. After all, Jake is already in the Army, and you have to go back and wonder now if that move was in part done to ensure that there would be a way to write him off if need be. Odds are producers would still like him back for an eventual series finale, but who know if that would even happen at this point? The only other option production has is to hold him to his contract, and just use the character sporadic here on out while hoping he avoids other outbursts.
What do you think: should CBS and Warner Bros. TV just cut ties with the actor at this point, at least so that “Two and a Half Men” can end with what little dignity it still has left?
