‘Once Upon a Time’ spoilers: First look at winter finale (video)

Are you ready for “The Queen of Hearts”? Sunday night’s new “Once Upon a Time” season 2 episode is set to be the last of the year, and with that in mind, you have to believe that they are going to go out guns a-blazing and with an episode that will hopefully satisfy quite a few diehard fans of the show.

Here’s what we know about the hour so far: the title is “The Queen of Hearts,” and it will focus primarily on just what happens when Mr. Gold and Regina come up with a plan to ensure that Cora cannot enter Storybrooke and wreck havoc upon the town. Of course, there is also a downside: they also may be stopping Emma and Mary Margaret from ever coming back. After nine episodes more or less of seeing the two groups apart, it is starting to look as though everyone is going to be coming together soon … or at least they will try to.

What also intrigues us here is that there are seemingly some more flashbacks coming up into how Regina and Captain Hook first met years ago, and how this in some way may facilitate how he works with Cora now. However, there is still one question that we have to ask here: who really is the Queen of Hearts in the title? Given that we have not heard of a new character joining the fold, we have to think that one of these two are going to take on the road. At the moment, we’re betting more on Cora given that we don’t know as much about her past.
