‘Bones’ season 8, episode 8 preview: Check out Booth’s comedy routine

We all know that Booth is a great detective, and that he and Brennan are pretty much the perfect team to solve any crime. But as a comedian? Let’s just say that David Boreanaz’s character still has quite a bit of work to do before he has people rolling on the floor. (Surprisingly, he may be an even better ballroom dancer when these episodes air next year.)

On Monday night’s “Bones” season 8 episode, we are going to see all sorts of awkward hilarity that spawns primarily from Booth having to try and solve a case while also undercover quite possibly as the worst comedian of all time. We don’t know if there has ever been a place where he looks more out of his element than in front of this audience here, as the only people laughing at him are those who actually know him. (Hilariously, one of them is also his sole heckler.)

In what may be a sign of what sort of establishment this is, the only time the audience really seems to be completely and totally into what Booth is doing on stage is when he shows that there is a gun in his possession. Is this really something that these people should be so excited about? Well …. it’s hard to know without getting the full context for the episode yet. Let’s just hope that there is enough comedy to go around for the rest of the hour, since we could use a fun “Bones” episode to kick off the final weeks of 2012.

What do you think about the idea behind this new “Bones” episode?
