ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Some love for Esposito fans

We already know that the upcoming holiday-themed episode of “Castle” season 5 is going to contain some pretty great stuff for fans of Castle and Beckett … but what about what is coming up for one of our other favorite detectives? With this very thing in mind, we now have some more scoop worth celebrating that is really all about none other than Jon Huertas’ character of Esposito. Unfortunately, the episode that we are going to be talking about here is not airing until the new year.

According to a brand-new report coming in via TVLine, the twelfth episode of the season (which is the same one featuring the death of some sort of popular DJ) is going to feature Esposito trying his best to help out a troubled young person played by Nadji Anthony Jeter. But is he really going to be able to help him, or this more of a lost cause? What will be interesting about this story is that our detective will probably see some of himself in the character, and this will therefore appeal to his nuturing side. Could this also be a blind spot in the case? This is what we are still waiting to find out.

Even though Huertas’ character has not been front and center for too many moments this season, he has at least been a part of some pretty entertaining and memorable moments, whether it be the continuation of his “relationship” with Lanie or us getting the opportunity to hear his impressive singing chops during the “Swan Song” episode that aired earlier this month.
