ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: First look at ‘Secret Santa’ (video)

Are you ready for some holiday cheer courtesy of “Castle” season 5? Well, there is some that will be coming your way in just thirteen days, as the ABC series is getting set to debut what is their final episode of 2012.

This installment is entitled “Secret Santa,” and based on the promo below along with some of the details that we have shared already, St. Nick is going to play a major role almost from the very beginning. When a man dressed as Kris Kringle is found dead in Central Park, it is going to force Castle and Beckett into a case unlike any that they have done before for the police. Who knew the death of a Santa could be so complicated? As always with this show, be prepared to see so much more happening behind the scenes beyond what meets the eye.

The holiday spirit also is not going to end with the case, as Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters are going to be experiencing their first Christmas together as a couple. Considering that this is a very personal and intimate holiday, though, there are a bevy of questions that come along with that … including just how much time the characters will spend together, what sort of gifts to give, and if Beckett is really ready to dive into Castle’s world. The two are not going to be getting married during the episode or anything to that extent, but this hour will provide an opportunity for the two characters to realize what their future could be like together beyond just arresting bad guys.
