‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips
Want to sit back and enjoy some music? Well, so long as you are a major Adam Lambert and Lenny Kravitz fan, this edition of “American Idol” notes is for you! We’re starting off today courtesy of a performance from the season 8 star in South Africa.
On Tuesday, Adam had his first concert ever in the country, and he chose to rock Cape Town with a setlist that included songs both from his “For Your Entertainment” debut along with “Trespassing.” In addition to that, he also covered the Kravitz classic “Are You Gonna Go My Way” like any true rock star would. You have to love the dance moves that were put into this performance to go along with the vocals, which were as strong as any performance from Adam would be.
Adam’s next concert in South Africa will occur on Friday, where he will be performing in the famed city of Johannesburg.
Some performance dates – While our latest news regarding both Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez is not necessarily earth-shattering, it is still important to point out a pair of upcoming dates for those of you hoping to catch either the reigning champ or the runner-up live.
First things first, Jessica is going to be performing in her native San Diego community this weekend, as she will be present Saturday night for the “Holiday Escape — Carols by Candlelight” event at the Westfield UTC chopping mall. The event is free to attend, and it will feature her tackling on a pair of holiday songs along with two others.
In continuing the Christmas theme, Phillip will be a part of the prestigious National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony this year from Washington DC. The special will air on PBS throughout the month of December, but to be specific it will occur December 6. Some of the other performers currently booked to appear include Colbie Caillat along with James Taylor.

Looking forward to seeing this newly crafted Adam concert performed in CapeTown. Adam is growing each day as an Rock/Pop
artist… Is that even possible? For the already Global Super Star Adam Lambert…

From the vids and the reactions/tweets of the audience I’d say that this was one helluva concert. Adam LIVE! – the absolute best.

No one compares to Adam– he is the total entertainer. SA loved him and knew the words to all his songs. Any other Idol played SA?
