‘Supernatural’ season 8 spoilers: Misha Collins’ Castiel finds his way back

We already know one thing about Castiel on “Supernatural” season 8: he’s not going to be away from the present-day world for long. During Wednesday night’s all-new episode “A Little Slice of Kevin,” we will learn not only just how Misha Collins’ character once again becomes a part of the real world following a stay in purgatory, but what the rules are going to be for him now. After all, how can someone either die or be vanquished without having to deal with any fallout as a result. New showrunner Jeremy Carver is smart enough to give Cass’ return some weight, and we will certainly see that in the weeks that follow.

With that, we present the first photo from the eighth episode of the season entitled  “Hunteri Heroici,” which will focus largely on the character’s attempts to latch onto his new role as hunter. Luckily, he will get a little bit of assistance from Sam and Dean in the process considering how far these guys go back.

For those curious, this episode is also the long-awaited tribute to the world of cartoons that has been teased about. While the show is not going two-dimensional by any means, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are going to be investigating a series of deaths that happen in a rather cartoonish way. In other words, expect this to be thoroughly entertaining since this show always has a tendency to do humor so well.
