‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2 spoilers: Scott Porter on George, Lemon’s future

For most of “Hart of Dixie” season 2, we have spent so much time talking about Zoe and George that we have almost forgotten to bring up another couple that is just as important to the show’s brief history: George and Lemon. After all, these two were set to be married until he bailed at the last minute during the season 1 finale only to express his feelings for someone else … which were not exactly reciprocated in the way in which he wanted.

So now that Zoe is continually denying George opportunities for the two to be together, is it possible that he could give Lemon another chance or vice-versa? Don’t count on it. While Scott Porter says that he loves working with Jamie King and that the passion of George / Lemon supporters has been incredible, he tells Entertainment Weekly in a new interview that the odds of these two characters reuniting are beyond slim:

 “I love the little moments they’ve given Lemon and George, but they’re not going to spend a ton of time together … It’s gotta be difficult to spend time with an ex of 15 years.”

For those out there who are looking for the faintest glimmer of hope (as unlikely as it may be), Porter says that the two are going to at least remain on cordial terms with each other for some of the season moving forward, and Lemon will not show that much bitterness towards him even if it may very well be deserved at this point.
