‘Glee’ season 4: Notes on Naya Rivera, Vanessa Lengies
It was heartbreaking to see the end of Brittany and Santana on the now-infamous episode of “Glee” entitled “The Break-Up,” but the Fox series actually did a surprising thing in opting not to address the aftermath at all of the relationship break ups on Thursday night’s “The Role You Were Born to Play” episode. In addition to that, it’s unclear just how much of a part Brittany or Santana will play in this week’s “Glease” episode. The good news? We know that Santana will be back in Ohio for Thanksgiving as well as Sectionals … and she is also guaranteed to be a part of another holiday in Christmas.
In a post on her Twitter account late last week, Rivera confirmed that she will be recording a song for the show’s upcoming Christmas album. However, This is the one episode a year where there are many songs that do not make the cut for whatever reason. It’s possible that we could not see Santana at all here, but given it being the holidays, we would be rather stunned if Ryan Murphy did not try to round up as many members of the cast as possible.
In other news… – For those of you who want some more direct scoop about Thursday night’s “Glease,” episode, we turn to Vanessa Lengies for some additional commentary. Speaking to Wetpaint, the actress opened up not just about some of the numbers that they are performing during the episode (which includes “Beauty School Dropout” and “You’re the One I Want”), and also just how different their version of the musical will be from the original:
“It’s very Grease saturated. There’s a lot of Grease moments. [Choreographer] Zach Woodlee was just telling me that we’re not allowed to do it too much like the movie, so certain things we did a lot like the original, and certain things we made our own and did it uniquely.”

Lea is too old to be playing a first year student. Corey should be gone. Dianna and Naya and Heather and Vanessa should be in all episodes, this isn’t Glee anymore. It’s just a show. I record it and skip to the songs. I delete it when I’m done. I still have season 2 and half of 3 but I’ve erased all of 4.

I hate how the show is now. We shouldn’t have to wonder if Naya is going to be in an episode or not. She should be in every episode. The majority of the viewers cannot connect with the newbies yet they’re getting all the screen times. It’s not a smart move on Glee. We want Naya!!!
