‘Two and a Half Men’ review: Is Miley Cyrus done?

We have now had two appearances from Miley Cyrus on “Two and a Half Men” this season, but based on what we saw from her character of Missi this time around, we may not ultimately be seeing another one on the show anytime soon.

What happened? The best way we can describe this episode is as a broken record; everything related to the story was actually something we had seen before already. This started when Jake met up with Cyrus (who did once again bring a ton of charisma to the role, even for the tacky fart jokes) while on a break from the military, the two hooked up in the middle of the half-hour, and then ended it when Missi announced that she was just not into Jake the same way that he was into him. In some ways, this was an understandable end given that Cyrus and Angus T. Jones never really had the sort of chemistry that longtime lovers need. Then again, this is hardly the sort of show where there is a great deal of chemistry between romantic partners.

Speaking of romance, the other major storyline this week revolved around Walden, who actually decided to hire a girlfriend after realizing just how down on his luck he was with the ladies. What better way to get the encouragement needed to get back on your feet? Of course, the problem with this was that it is still hard to really believe that Ashton Kutcher has a hard time with romance, especially when this character is not only good-looking, but also rich. Nonetheless, Missi somehow was able to teach him a lesson that will hopefully inspire him to be a little bit of a more optimistic man in the future.
