‘American Idol’ notes: Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Lee DeWyze

Now that the Presidential Election is over, we can settle back in now with some “American Idol” notes, beginning with a pair of season 8 stars and closing with the latest news courtesy of Lee DeWyze’s concert that was set to happen in Nashville tonight.

Christmas music from Kris Allen – Does anyone else find this photo to be absolutely hilarious? We do, and it comes courtesy of Allen’s announcement to be on the lookout for some new music soon with this title. What we don’t know at the moment is if this is an EP or just a holiday track, but either way it is certainly welcome.

Kris will be the second “American Idol” alum this year to actually release a holiday album, as he is following up “Christmas with Scotty McCreery” from last month. Before that, season 7 star David Archuleta also had a notable Christmas album that still receives airplay to this day.

Adam’s cause for celebration – Wednesday may very well be one of Adam Lambert’s best days of the year. Not only is it the day after the election (where his pick in President Obama was re-elected and were gay marriage was legalized in both Maryland and Maine), but Adam is coming off a two-year anniversary dinner with his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen. Despite being a well-known couple for some time, you have to give both of them some serious credit for finding way to keep their relationship loving while at the same time reasonably private. Any celebrity in Hollywood can tell you just how hard that can be.

Lee DeWyze news – For those of you hoping to see the season 9 champ in Nashville tonight, there is some sad news coming in: it’s been pushed back. Lee explains why in a post on his Twitter account, and while he deleted it later, you can still see it up on his Facebook page:

“So, I want to address the show in Nashville tomorrow. I’m kinda shocked Myself, but apparently… the television show ‘Nashville’ has decided to film there tomorrow. What has to be done. Please understand it is out of our hands, and we WILL reschedule the show. 12th & Porter has been totally cool With us, and are working it out so we will be back soon :)”

This is the second show that Lee has been forced to push back in the last week and a half, as he also had to reschedule an east coast date following the arrival of Hurricane Sandy.
