Typically, we choose to shy away from stories about TV stars reacting to any and every event under the sun, if for no other reason than that usually these sort of quotes are usually rather inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. However, given the magnitude of the U.S. Presidential election, we’re choosing to make an exception here and highlight some of what these people are saying on this historic night … especially since some of these reactions to President Barack Obama’s re-election are so varied and interesting.
All of the following quotes are coming to us courtesy of Twitter, and they include supporters of both Obama and former Governor Mitt Romney.
Dianna Agron (“Glee”) – “Congratulations, Mr. President, our president.”
Zachary Quinto (“American Horror Story”) – “NEVER BEEN MORE FIRED UP IN MY ADULT LIFE!!!!!!!”
Jesse Tyler Ferguson (“Modern Family”) – “We are either hearing fireworks or massive bubble wrap being popped outside! So exciting!!!! #Obama”
Donald Trump (“The Celebrity Apprentice”) – “This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy! Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble…like never before.”
Adam Levine (“The Voice”) – “That’s what happens when you f*ck with Sesame Street.”
Paul Wesley (“The Vampire Diaries”) – “Justice has been done.”
Kelly Osbourne (“Fashion Police”) – “Thank God #Obama2012 has victoriously won I feel Safer now there hopefully wont be a world war III & gays can finally get married! #victory”
Many conservative celebrities save for Trump have opted to stay silent on Twitter, and many of them never announced their affiliation publicly to begin with.
If you want to see the initial reaction to the victory by Obama on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” be sure to head on over to the link here.
