‘Dexter’ season 7 spoilers: 50 shades of Dexter lives on (video)

Somehow, “Dexter” season 7 managed to become even more messed up during Sunday night’s new episode, as we witnessed our infamous serial killer (spoiler alert!) not only shy away from killing Hannah McKay, but decided instead to make love to her right in the middle of his kill room.

We’re sure that there are going to be some people who cringe at the “50 Shades of Grey” analogy in the title, but let’s face it: anything within this pop-culture society is going to be compared to the E.L. James book, regardless of whether or not you want it to. The truth here from this perspective actually is that this is far more messed-up in the head than anything that you see in this book, though, since you are dealing with two killers going at it versus just some guy with a sex dungeon. These two claim that it will never happen again … but we all know that stopping will not be that easy for two people with addicted personalities.

Dexter’s new relationship (if you can call it that) is going to create some problems all across the board. First, there is the issue of the true-crime author Sal, who quickly catches onto him thanks to the trail that he has had on Hannah for years. Not only that, but there is also the fact that Deb now knows quite a bit about Yvonne Strahovski’s character thanks to what Sal told her while they were out on a date together. Dexter is really starting to push his luck now when it comes to not getting his sister to arrest him: not only did he hide evidence implicating Hannah, but he did not kill her even when given an opportunity to do so.
