‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: A new Meredith / Cristina tease

Thanks in part to the CMA Awards, Thursday night was a rare week in the fall without a “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode, but luckily there is still something pretty great coming up on Thursday night in “Beautiful Doom.” This is an episode that we have been hearing about ever since before this season even began, as this story is going to shy away from the typical method of storytelling to focus more than anything else on just two characters: Meredith and Cristina.

So what is going to be coming up for this episode when it airs? We now have a new teaser courtesy of executive producer Shonda Rhimes on Twitter, and she explained that we would be finding out something more soon regarding Cristina’s love life that should make some long-standing fans of the show happy:

“Next week? A Cristina/Owen spoiler-ish statement about kissing.”

The last we saw Cristina and Owen on the show, they could not be more apart as Cristina was hooking up with one of her new co-workers as a way in which to move on with her personal life. In addition to that, she also told Owen that when it came to the lawsuit that has been filed against the airline over the plane crash, she really doesn’t want any direct communication with him outside of through her lawyer. This was an easy way for her to sever this bridge, but there’s something that tells us that she will not be able to keep this going for an extraordinarily long time.
