‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together’: Christina Aguilera, Billy Joel, and more
On Friday night, NBC and a number of other networks under its banner aired a special that was all about one thing: finding a way to raise money for those suffering after Hurricane Sandy. The special is entitled “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” and it is featuring a number of the biggest stars not just in the NBC family of networks, but also from the tri-state areas.
The host for the hour is none other than “The Today Show” host Matt Lauer, and the lineup of performers include “The Voice” coach Christina Aguilera, New Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi, and a man considered to be a New York icon in Billy Joel. “Late Night” host Jimmy Fallon and NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams are each also stopping by for an appearance of the own.
When it comes to video, here is what we have to offer for the time being: you can check out a livestream of the benefit below, which will give you a better idea as to how to donate. In the even that you are coming to this article after the special is over, we’ll have some videos of some of the notable moments as soon as they are made available.
While Fox News has already chosen to fire away at this special for allegedly used the disaster in order to promote what they believe to be a liberal agenda, let’s just try to take the politics out of this and focus really on one thing above all else: finding a way to help people who need it the most.

Ignore Fox News! I donated – very impressive that they pulled in so much top talent in such a short time. Jon Stewart and Brian Williams were there – they were raised in NJ. Aerosmith and Steven Tyler performed. Sting sang, as did Mary J. Blige – they both killed!! Good folks doing good.
