Legacies season 2 episode 9 promo: The calm before the storm
Yet, the promo below feels a little bit more like a quiet calm before a nasty storm. It appears as though there is some conjuring going on with Lizzie and Jo, or the two could be wading into some rather dangerous waters. The same goes for the show as a whole. We know now that the Necromancer was under one of those hoods, Clarke is now dead, and there is still Kai lurking underneath the surface.
To us, the principal question at the heart of Legacies is when we are potentially going to see Kai come roaring back into the series … and also how. It feels like it could be a consequence of something Josie or Lizzie do, and it also feels like something that you have to prepare for.
In general, though, we don’t think the midseason finale ended in a way in which we’re as curious as ever as to what’s coming next … but also still uncertain. There were a lot of stories that weren’t fully resolved, we don’t know what we’re going to be seeing Landon do next, and there are still questions about the future of the show. The Necromancer is dangerous as a character just in terms of the possibilities he presents — we just don’t know what they are going to be. What we can say is that the series returns on Thursday, January 17 with all-new episodes, and there are a lot of reasons to be excited about that.
So when will some more information come out on the show’s future? At the moment, we’re anticipating that something more will arrive by the end of the month. The folks at The CW don’t want to leave you waiting forever…
