‘Dexter’ season 7 spoilers: Jennifer Carpenter on Yvonne Strahovski scenes
So far on “Dexter” this season, we have seen Debra Morgan focus the vast majority of her attention on trying to deal with the fact that her brother has lived pretty much all of his life as a killer. However, this will not be her sole focus for so much longer, as she soon is going to be spending some time with a woman who has become an increased presence in Dexter’s life as of late: Hannah McKay. Deb’s not an idiot, and she is going to realize that there is something fishy about her past … and it’s also possible that in time her brother could clue her in on some of what he is up to with her.
Regardless of what Dexter does, there is one thing we can promise now: there are going to be fireworks soon, and plenty of them. Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, here is what Jennifer Carpenter had to say on the very subject of some scenes coming up with her and Yvonne Strahovski’s characters:
“The interaction between Deb and Hannah is like putting two Siamese fighting fish in a bowl, where one will ultimately destroy the other … You just don’t know who is going to win. [There is suspicion thanks to] the rap sheet that Hannah comes with, [and] the threat she poses to both Deb’s brother [Dexter] and to Deb herself … Hannah’s such a different flavor than Deb; still just as strong and potent, but she has a different fighting style… She’s working all kinds of angles, and there’s every reason [for Deb] to get her out of [their] lives.”
Will it work? Hannah is resilient, and if Dexter is on to her, it may not be as easy as it seems…
Are you now looking forward to these scenes more so than any others?
