The Flash season 6 episode 3 spoilers: ‘Dead Man Running’

Flash season 4

Next week, The Flash season 6 episode 3 is bringing to you a story entitled “Dead Man Running,” one where Barry’s future will be at the forefront of a lot.

At this point, it’s going to be clear to Grant Gustin’s character that he is in grave danger — while he would absolutely love for an opportunity in order to change the timeline so he doesn’t disappear during Crisis on Infinite Earths, he knows of no adequate way to ensure that this happens. All he has to go on is the information out there, and that means to some extent having to plan for a certain, rather-unwelcome inevitability. He has to understand that there is a chance that he may never come back from this and he needs to prepare others for this happening. He needs to make sure that Central City can thrive even without a Flash.

Can that happen? Well, we know that there are some metas in Killer Frost and then also Elongated Man who are capable of great things … and then there’s also Kid Flash roaming around out there somewhere, but there’s no clarity at present as to when he will be back. Moving into episode 3, you will see Barry doing what he can in order to ensure that he can train someone to be a hero … while there are some other secrets revealed at the same time.

Below, CarterMatt has the official The Flash season 6 episode 3 synopsis with some more scoop as to what to expect:

GET READY FOR A KILLER PARTY – Knowing that Crisis is only weeks away, Barry (Grant Gustin) prepares a member of Team Flash for life without him while hunting a terrifying meta-human with an unquenchable thirst. Meanwhile, Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) uncovers a family secret. Sarah Boyd directed the episode written by Lauren Barnett & Thomas Pound (#603). Original airdate 10/22/2019.

Judging from the word “killer” in there, it feels fair to speculate the person at the center of the “training” will be none other than Killer Frost … and we’ve got a feeling that the end results of this could prove to be rather mixed. How else would you really describe trying to convince a one-time villain to go on the straight and narrow? Maybe there is hope that things could work out, but there’s a certain innate unpredictability with Killer Frost … and it probably comes from having “Killer” in her name.
