Legacies season 2 spoilers: Is Penelope returning? Will Rafael turn?
Yet, we also know that there is one dynamic that a lot of people still want to explore, and it involves Penelope Park at the center of it.

The enthusiasm around Penelope as a character has been very much clear for a while, so much so that there have been some calls for her to come back. We even have Posie (Penelope and Josie) featured in our ongoing ‘Shiptober poll, a reference to the amount of love out there for her.
Yet, despite all of this, executive producer Julie Plec is not tipping her cap one way or another when it comes to the status of Penelope. Instead, she had the following to say to TV Guide: “I love how much everybody loves Penelope Park, and maybe one day.” We do think that there’s hope (pun intended) — otherwise, why choose to even offer up the slightest bit of it? If you thought the character was done, it’d be better to just say that.
On a different note…
Plec made it clear in this interview that there is a pretty-good chance that you will be seeing more of Rafael in human form, and also sooner rather than later:
Well, I can tell you you won’t have to wait too long, but it’s also not immediate… It definitely is not an easy transition back into his regular life. He is someone who’s always struggled, so he’s used to the struggle. It’s so hard, especially for Landon seeing his friend suffer so much. So it’s going to really drive Landon to want to do something to help Raf make it through this hard time.
All in all, we’ve got a good feeling that there will be a very eventful Legacies season 2 coming up down the line.
