Legacies season 2 episode 2 spoilers: Can Hope move forward?

Coming up on Legacies season 2 episode 2, there are a lot of different things to think about — including some big paradigm shifts for Hope! Danielle Rose Russell’s character on the CW series is going to be dealing with quite a few challenges on this upcoming batch of episodes, with most of those starting with the desperate place that she found her in during the premiere. After that, she’s going to have a different view on her life … and it could be one separate from much of the life that she’s known already.

Legacies season 2 episode 2 could be a story full of change, but at the same time, it could be a story stuffed full of challenges. At the school, you’ll see some of these play out — think in terms of the presence of Alexis Denisof, who will be playing the new headmaster. What do you think Alaric is going to think about that becoming a part of the story? (You gotta think that he’ll have an opinion or two or three.)

ALEXIS DENISOF GUEST STARS AS THE NEW HEADMASTER – Determined to move forward with her new life alone, Hope’s (Danielle Rose Russell) latest hunt leads her on a collision course with the past she’s been desperately trying to leave behind. Meanwhile, on their first day back in school, Landon’s (Aria Shahghasemi) newfound status as the popular guy leads to tensions with Josie (Kaylee Bryant). Elsewhere, as MG (Quincy Fouse) contemplates telling Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) how he feels about her, the arrival of a mysterious vampire puts a wrench into his plan. Finally, as Alaric (Matthew Davis) gets settled into his new role at Mystic Falls High School, the students of the Salvatore School meet their new headmaster, Professor Vardemus (guest star Alexis Denisof). Jeff Hunt directed the episode written by Thomas Brandon (#202). Original airdate 10/17/2019.

With Alaric now over in his new post, it feels like Legacies is going to be ramping up a Mystic Falls High/Salvatore School showdown on this upcoming batch of episodes. There is some excitement that we’ve got towards that in our mind, mostly because we’re talking about something that is so different than what we had in season 1. It also brings us back to some of the various elements of the story that we had back in The Vampire Diaries so many years ago.
