Just in case you are not excited enough about Sunday night’s new episode of “Downton Abbey,” we have a new video that has not only been watched by some videos of the cast, but has gone viral especially in the past few days after being uploaded last weekend.
Basically, the premise of this video is rather simple, as we watch Luke Kempner compose a scene from the hit ITV series (which airs in the America on PBS, and will premiere there in January of next year) almost entirely using various impressions of some of the characters. The Mr. Carson and Tom Branson impersonations are especially stellar, though all of the voices are pretty great and the writing is also a top-notch spoof of some of the subject matter actually discussed on the show. The other good news here? There really aren’t that many spoilers of the current season of the show, as evidenced by the fact that one dead character is referenced as if they are still alive.
As funny as this video is (even with some language that you would never hear on the show), what this really represents to us above anything else is yet again how passionate and engaged the fans of this show are. There’s really nothing else on TV just when it comes to making viewers invested over a short span of time, and we miss it quite a bit when it is not actually on the air. Our only wish (outside of the series somehow getting longer) is that we have an opportunity to see more videos like this in the future.
Do you think that these impersonations are top-notch?
