The Blacklist season 7 promo: Dom prepares for battle

We’ll admit: Dom is one of our favorite characters. There’s just something so strange and mysterious about him, whether it be his sentiments towards atonement and then also the troubled relationship he has with his apparent daughter Katarina. Then, there’s also everything that he passed along to Liz during the episode “Rassvet.” It felt as though there was more information that he could have passed along to her there, at least per how Reddington reacted to him after the fact.
As to how Dom factors into the chief narrative of The Blacklist season 7, there are still some wrinkles there that need to be explored. What we know is that the promo below showcases him with a gun, preparing for some sort of battle. We know entering this season that there are some people after Katarina. Could some of these people also go after Dom? Staying away from her may protect her, but being off the grid has also allowed him to have a certain amount of security in his own right. That could be falling apart for him this season, among other upcoming problems.
If Reddington does get involved with everything with Dom, that does signal that he may not be stuck out in France for too long, though the circumstances of his return to America are currently unclear. You can say the same for whether or not he actually does. In general, we would say that season 7 is going to be as decorated in mystery as ever, and also is going to take a closer look at the show’s central mythology while at the same time blowing it wide open. This could be the season of answers … and it better be, since there is no verification at the moment of a season 8 (though we remain hopeful)
