Lucifer season 5 episode 3 title clue — and a new guessing game

Lucifer

You have to give the folks over at Lucifer credit for their promotional game leading into season 5! They’ve got episode titles that they’ve released … but then also clues for episode titles. They’re almost doing that thing now where movies make a teaser that tells you when another teaser is going to be coming out. There’s so much hype surrounding the show on Netflix that it affords you the opportunity to do all sorts of cool stuff.

With this in mind, let’s now get to presenting some of these said clues! In a new post on Twitter (which we have for you to check out below), the official writers’ room made it clear that episode 3 is going to be titled something that starts with one word, six letters, and the first is “D.” This feels almost like we’re solving a Wheel of Fortune puzzle here!

The most obvious title here for the show is “Demons,” largely because of where Lucifer is at the start of season 5 and also some of what he was trying to deal with at the end of season 4. Yet, is that also a little obvious? Sure, and that’s why there could be all sorts of other possible titles wedged in here, as well. Just think along the lines of “Danger,” “Dancer,” “Drinks,” “Drools,” “Dapper,” or “Darren” — we like to think that Darren is some random guy who ends up magically saving the day only to then get his own spin-off show.

The real purpose of these episodes titles — and we do think that there is a much larger purpose here — is to have some engagement with the fans. Our thinking is that the folks behind the scenes at Lucifer want to do everything within their power to ensure that there are a lot of different discussions happening even when new episodes aren’t coming to Netflix anytime soon. Sure, we recognize that there’s no inherent need to promote a final season, but why not work to get some of those numbers as big as humanly possible?
