Bachelor in Paradise 2019 episode 9 preview: Why is Clay frustrated?
What we’ve come to know about Clay so far this season is that he’s gotten close to Nicole … but has he gotten close enough to actually see a future with her? There are a lot of doubts surfacing throughout this episode, with a lot of those said doubts being explained by Tayshia in a sneak peek (watch over here). You can see Clay venting, first and foremost, about how frustrated he is that Angela is there. While both certainly have the right to be in Paradise, he was there first and she knew coming in that he was already there and could cause problems. We’re not going to get on board with his argument here, but we do think it’s understandable for anyone to be frustrated when they have poured a lot of time into this show and want everything to run smoothly.
In Tayshia’s mind, Clay has convinced himself that he is over Angela even though he’s not — and another exhibit of this comes via him being unable to introduce Nicole as his girlfriend while at the wedding of Krystal and Chris. This would be understandable if they’d only been together for a couple of days, but they’ve been close for the majority of the season! They’s had that relationship that, on the surface, should make them one of the couples most destined to find someone after that. Unfortunately, that may not happen if Clay is hung up.

Our question is this — how is he going to react when he sees Angela take an interest in someone else in the house? That’s going to be the biggest test of where the two are relationship-wise perhaps more so than anything, and it’s worth watching out for what that reaction looks like.
