ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5: Take a look behind the scenes!
Thanks in part to the final Presidential debate happening on Monday night, we sadly do not have a new episode of “Castle” to enjoy. However, we do still have something new to smile about: the latest look behind the scenes at the hit ABC show’s set!
In the video below (which comes to us via SpoilerTV), you can see composer Robert Duncan literally take us to a junkyard, and he actually has some really cool details to share about how some of the sound effects are created for the show during some of the scenes while Castle and Beckett are out investigating crimes. This is why sometimes, composers really have one of the coolest gigs in the business, as they are really able to find music in almost anything … even objects that you would not expect to be remotely musical.
So when will “Castle” be back on the case again? Luckily, you will not be waiting very long, as the October 29 episode “Murder, He Wrote” is going to focus on what happens when Castle is actually accused of committing a crime that he more than likely did not commit. (After all, the show would not exactly continue well with him as a murderer.) Following this up, we will also see some installments themed all around such subjects as a science fiction convention, rock music, a trip deep into the world of the mob, and of course the holiday season. (Who doesn’t love a good Christmas episode?)
What do you think about this video, and are you now in agreement with us that everyone who is anyone should really want to be a composer when they grow up? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below!

MR. ROBERT DUNCAN is a musical genius – I said it before & will say it again. He creates musical compositions disguised as “sound effects” – excerpts from a symphony which will transport us into a scene so we can feel it to the max. No cutting corners for this young man – CASTLE becomes extraordinary & we still wonder why the world is transfixed by this TV series. Viewers of all ages become enthralled with every episode. Oh MAHLER…your symphonies are amazing, but ROBERT DUNCAN’s compositions are every bit as magnificent…ALWAYS :)
