NCIS season 17 notes: Wilmer Valderrama, Emily Wickersham, & horses!
We already wrote the latest about Ziva a few days ago, so for the sake of today we’re focusing on a few different things. Take, for example, getting a chance to dive a little bit more into what’s going on with one episode being filmed today! In a post over on his Instagram Stories, Wilmer Valderrama gives you a chance to see a scene that is being filmed — one that will include himself, Emily Wickersham, some other cast members, and also horses. There’s a lot going on in this scene! It’s a sign that the team is out on location instead of at their studio, which suggests that maybe they’re filming something set around a crime scene.

For us, we always like it when NCIS gets a little bit more rural — we therefore welcome anything with horses and open space. (We don’t think we’re going that far out of DC with the scene that’s being shot here, though.) We just think that the more that you can throw some of these characters out of their element, the better the overall series is. They’re allowing more opportunities to put characters in uncomfortable positions — and that gives them opportunities to show off different sides. We’re personally hoping that there are some chances coming up for Bishop and Torres in particular to confront some of the feelings that they have for each other. It’s not a change that we expect to be coming immediately for the two of them, but it could develop over time this season – especially with Kasie calling Torres out on those feelings before season 16 wrapped up.
