ABC’s ‘Revenge’ review: Amanda’s ‘baby shower’

Somehow, someway, “Revenge” manages to get more dramatic as the weeks go by; and surprisingly, we really do not even seem to mind that some of it is becoming a little bit over-the-top. There were some startling revelations for sure, but even more so than that, there were also a few twists that we never would have otherwise seen coming.

With this very thing in mind, we have a feeling that we are going to be imagining the scene in our head for quite some time as Victoria “accidentally” pushed Amanda off of the balcony. Why did she do it? It came after a heated confrontation between the two ironically at Amanda’s own baby shower, where she tried to confront our primary villain over the fact that Emily (a.k.a. the real Amanda)’s mother is actually still alive. This of course led to a major Victoria freakout as she realized that Amanda is getting some help to put the pieces together, and she has to put on a good face and pretend as though everything is working out fine with her newfound family.

The good news? Both Amanda and the baby (who is now born, by the way) somehow made it out of this alive, but with Amanda the implications were still pretty clear that “alive” was not necessarily well. Elsewhere during this episode, we learned that Nolan did in fact land a new love interest via his own company, and that Aiden now has himself in a pretty bloody situation of his own after being locked up by Emily’s mother.
