‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Lea Michele, Naya Rivera highlight new synopses

There are clearly some big things coming up on “Glee” even following the tear-jerker that was the “Break-Up” episode, and we now even have some more evidence of it courtesy of a pair of official episode descriptions from Fox. These are for the next two episodes of the season beginning on November 8, and they are tentatively titled “The Role You Were Born to Play” as well as “Grease,” a sign that the classic musical is going to have just enormous of a role on the show as some diehard fans were hoping for.

After “The Break-Up” seemed to largely focus on life in New York, episode 5 does appear to be a little bit more centered on what is going to be happened back in Lima at McKinley High:

“The school production of ‘Grease’ is underway, and Marley (Melissa Benoist), Jake (Jacob Artist), Kitty (Becca Tobin) and football player Ryder (“Glee Project” winner Blake Jenner) compete to play “Danny” and “Sandy.” Meanwhile, former Glee clubbers Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) return to cast the play, and Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) struggles with a difficult decision.”

We already know that this decision for Will is going to revolve around taking off to Washington DC for a while, and we have to believe that he is going to do so when you consider that we don’t hear much of him in the “Grease” description at all. However, you do get to see some proof that Lea Michele and Chris Colfer’s characters are going to be coming back to Ohio in order to check the play out:

Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) pay a visit to Lima as the Glee club launches its production of “Grease.” Meanwhile, Cassandra July (guest star Kate Hudson) returns to shake things up in Rachel’s life, and Santana (Naya Rivera) comes back to lend a helping hand.”

Of course, the one thing we are the most curious about at the moment is just what Santana will be up to back at the school, and we’re crossing our fingers that maybe it could mean great things for her and Brittany again after their breakup really seemed to be fairly amicable. Then again, only time will tell.
