‘Dexter’ season 7 spoilers: Deb becomes the voice of reason (video)

After watching the new sneak peek for Sunday night’s new episode of “Dexter”, there is really one thing that we have to say when it comes to the current situation of Harrison Morgan: it’s about time that someone put a little bit of sense into Dexter’s head.

Could this be the beginning of the end for seeing Dexter’s son on the show? We’re torn on the subject in some ways, basically because the writers already made their bed by making Dexter a biological father (which was not a decision that we loved by any means), and still to this day we find ourselves incessantly questioning what is going on with the kid every time Dexter is away for long hours. It does look as though there could be an out here, though, and it is coming up courtesy of what Deb has to say below: that Harrison could go live in Orlando with his stepbrother and stepsister Astor and Cody who have been off the map since season 5 and not even really mentioned. (However, one of them will be returning in a future episode.) It would seem like a lot to ask of his late wife’s parents, but it does look like Deb is clearly going to be pushing for it.

Regardless of whether or not Dexter ends up agreeing with what Deb is saying, something does have to give here eventually. It’s unfair to raise a kid while at the same time serving as a serial killer, and in one way or another, Harrison is going to face consequences for his actions. Therefore, the argument could be made that the best solution for both him and for the show creatively is to send the child away for a while, just so that we do not constantly worry about him anymore.

Do you think that Dexter would ever agree to this?
