‘Homeland’ season 2 spoilers: Brody’s paranoia strikes again

For the first time really all season long on “Homeland,” Sunday night’s all-new episode is going to be bringing Carrie and Brody somewhat close together … at least when it comes to their proximity from each other. However, this does not mean that Brody is going to be particularly happy about this in any shape or form.

According to a new report from E! News, the episodes coming up will see some of that old tension from the first season flare up between these two characters as Brody starts to realize that Claire Danes’ character is indeed onto him and what he is up to at the moment when it comes to his plans to destroy America from within. To make matters worse for him, it is not going to take him too long at all for him to realize that Carrie is working with the CIA again, and thus,  she is the biggest threat out there to destroy everything that he has created for himself.

We’ve said this before, and we will say it again probably until the two parties meet up for the first time in season 2: “Homeland” is at its best when Danes and Damian Lewis are working together. However, we cannot discount the period of time that we are in how, as their scenes would hardly be as effective if they were presented to us without any sort of substantial backstory or buildup.
