Poldark season 5: New Aidan Turner – Eleanor Tomlinson photo & more
Within this post, let’s kick things off with the latest stellar photograph featuring Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson! This image shows the two in front of the signature rocky coastline. It’s the sort of striking image that will get attention for the new season, but it’s also far from unique. We’ve seen variations on this almost every year but it’s hard to think of what else Poldark could really do. This is a show about these characters and the world that they live in — they are Cornwall in so many ways. Ross and Demelza are representatives of the people — they work hard, fight for what they love, and they’re used to not having anything handed to them. They do what they can to make something fruitful out of what is handed to them.

On a different note, how about some humor via Aidan Turner? There’s a longstanding tradition of actors and producers, upon leaving a show, trying to take home a memento or two from the set. Yet, usually when you hear about this sort of stuff, we’re talking small props — not full pieces of furniture! In a new interview with The Sun, Turner made it clear that “took the kitchen table and the benches” from Ross Poldark’s home, noting that “they’re in my house in London.” This is somehow both hilarious and also rather sweet. It shows how much Poldark means to Aidan, and also the craftmanship of the crew and the generosity of the producers to let Aidan take such big chunks of the show home. We suppose it’s better than them sitting off in storage somewhere!
Also, now Aidan can cosplay as his character at home to his heart’s content.
