Poldark season 5 promo: Ross is ready to fight (again)
In the video below, you can see Ross doing what he can in order to save Cornwall once more. The issues, in some ways, are the same as they’ve always been — income inequality, the safety of the poor, and making sure tyrants don’t just get whatever they want. Ross is a flawed hero, but he’s also the people’s champion. Sometimes, the best champions are the ones who also feel the most vulnerable at times. Ross’ vulnerability and enormous heart is a part of his appeal and through season 5, we’ll have opportunities to see further how he continues to try and save the day.
In the process of that, he does need to continue to save himself. Despite them having so many moments in love, there have been so many issues at the heart of his relationship with Demelza that nothing is ever guaranteed. The two of them are almost always under tremendous stress and we feel like that’s going to continue — especially when you stop in for a moment and think about George. The level of threat he presents this season is perhaps going to be more than ever before. He’s mourning Elizabeth in the early going, but there’s no guarantee that this sentiment will last forever. His sadness could turn to rage (now that the one person out to calm him down is gone) and we don’t have to tell you what sort of problems that could end up causing.

By the end of the season, we’re sure that the world of Poldark will never be the same — the door is going to be left open for a season 6, so we suppose that with that in mind, we’re not going to see Ross die or anything else crazy transpires in the final episodes.
