‘Arrow’ spoilers: Katie Cassidy talks Laurel, Oliver’s history

There are many surprises still to come on “Arrow” this season, but one thing that does have us continually intrigued moving forward is seeing how the relationship between one Oliver Queen and Lauren will continue to develop. During the pilot, we got a sense of the basic outline of their past as Oliver cheated on her, and thus has her now in a very defensive place now that he is more or less back from the dead. So how much history will we see from these two? Based on what Katie Cassidy is saying to Entertainment Weekly, it looks like we have quite a bit to look forward to:

“You’ll definitely get to see more of the history between Laurel and Oliver, and where they come from … Laurel lost her sister because her boyfriend had an affair and invited her [on the boat]. It’s basically his fault. And I think if any man did this to me and my sisters, I would never forgive that person,” she says. “I feel like she has a lot of soul, and she’s clearly very strong because she tries to see the best in everyone. I think that says a lot about her.”

Ultimately, we do have a feeling that we are going to be seeing plenty more of Laurel and Oliver in the weeks to come. The show had one of the strongest premieres in the history of The CW last week, and if it keeps these numbers up for just another week or two longer, we have a feeling that this will be a show that remains on the network for at least the rest of the season, if not longer.
