‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley’s character clash

On Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” Elena Gilbert is finally going to start getting used to life as a vampire. However, there are going to be plenty of arguments that transpire as to how exactly is the best way in order to get her to handle this transition without a problem.

So what are Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley’s Damon and Stefan Salvatore going to do? Let’s just say that there is a rather intense argument that is going to transpire. When it comes to Stefan, he seems to be under the belief that the best thing for the brothers to do is try and wean Elena into being a vampire based solely on animal blood. Why? If she goes about this way, she could manage to start off on the right path, and hopefully not fall victim to her own weakness in compassion. However, Damon seems to believe that this is a rather unrealistic option in that the vast majority of vampires tend to end up falling off the human wagon eventually.

Based on some of the preview clips that we have seen for the show thus far, we have to admit that Damon’s philosophy may actually be the better one for Elena’s own long-term stability. This is not to say that we want to see Elena feasting on all of Mystic Falls by any means; however, it may be a tad better for her to allow it to get out of the way rather than repressing an emotion that is in part in the fabric of every vampire’s being.
