‘Dexter’ season 7 spoilers: Get to know Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah McKay
On Sunday night’s new episode of “Dexter,” we are going to have an opportunity to meet someone who could either be a new hero for this coming season, or a potential villain: Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah McKay. During a previous article we had our suspicions that the character could have some similarities to the famed Canadian case of Karla Homolka, and the newest video we have on the subject from Showtime seems to give us even more reason to suspect this.
As with the Homolka case, McKay is a young woman who took part in a series of killings with a much older man, who in this case is the one we saw jump in front of a truck last episode in Wayne Randall. She was sent to juvy for several years as a result of what happened, as she was just a young teenager at the time (which is a little bit younger than Homolka was during her own killing spree).
Here’s where the real parallel could be between the two parties: Hannah may have been much more involved in the killings with Randall than she initially told to police, and this is something Dexter is going to have to find out a little bit more of as the season progresses. Based on the video, we are starting to think that Dexter and Hannah could go down the relationship route here. Both parties clearly have some sort of dark passenger that they have dealt with for several years, but on the surface it does look like Hannah has found a way to get over it. Is this truly the case, though? This is what we are a little bit interested in figuring out.
What do you think about what Yvonne has to say here?
