‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: First photo of Buzz Aldrin

“The Big Bang Theory” may be in its sixth season, but it is not slowing down at all when it comes to finding a way to book some more big-name guest stars to appear on their program. Just last season alone, they had both Stephen Hawking and the voice of Leonard Nimoy within the span of two episodes. This time around, it’s going to be the second man to walk on the moon in Buzz Aldrin for the show’s Halloween installment.

So what sort of role is the legendary astronaut going to play? Outside of the fact that he will be playing himself, everything else is still shrouded in mystery. We still do not know just why he is going to be appearing, though there is a major part of us that wants to imagine that Sheldon is waiting somewhere off in the bushes here to ask an important question or two (or to get himself another restraining order to go along with the one that Stan Lee has against him).

This episode is going to air on October 25, and the title here is “The Holographic Excitation.” Thus far, the only other notable photo that we have seen is of Howard and Bernadette dressed up as Smurfs; but if the rest of the show turns out to be something similar to this, we have a feeling that this is going to be more than amazing. Plus, it could give the show a much-needed shot in the arm after some of the comedy has grown predictable thanks in part to Howard having limited storylines in space.

What do you think about someone of Aldrin’s caliber stopping by the show?
