Considering Barney Stinson’s love for game shows (or at least “The Price Is Right”), it really only seems appropriate that we feature him in a brand-new sort of game show environment on Monday night’s all-new episode of “How I Met Your Mother.”
So what is the context really going to be for this here? Really, the best way to describe it can be best seen on the big wheel to the left: who wants to be a godparent? Neil Patrick Harris is going to be one of three possible contenders to be responsible for the future welfare of young Marvin Waitforit Ericksen in the event that something ends up happening to Marshall and Lily, and he gives a rather hilarious answer to the sneak peek below when asked what he would do in the even that they end up passing away for whatever reason. (We won’t spoil it for you here, but let’s just say that it’s something similar to what he would say to one of the women he tries to get into bed with.)
As for the rest of the clip, there are really two surprises upon watching it:
1. We always assumed that Marshall and Lily would have two godparents among the members of the gang, and that Robin would automatically be one of them. However, we are not so sure that this is the case here.
2. Why isn’t Ted more excited about taking part of this? Sure, we know that he wants to know the answer like all of us to who is the mother of his future children, but we thought he’d be happy with this responsibility for at least the time being.
Who do you think is going to end up being Marvin’s godparent? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts with a comment below! If you want to check out some more news about Marshall as a potential hero, be sure to head on over to the link here.
