Blue Bloods: Where does Bridget Moynahan see Erin in the future?
So while Erin is higher up on the career ladder than ever before, it doesn’t seem as though she’s ready to slow down at all. As a matter of fact, Bridget Moynahan still has some dreams for her! Speaking in a new interview with CBS Watch, she makes it clear that she does like to envision her character as a judge at some point down the road.
Would it be really cool to be able to see Erin as a judge on Blue Bloods? We think so, mostly because it would offer up a new perspective and give us a chance to see some different content that’s somewhat different. As for whether or not we think we’re actually going to see it happen before the show comes to a close, it’s hard to be a little bit confident about that.
After all, a part of what makes affect Erin’s character so effective is that in her current position, she spends a lot of time in conflict with members of the NYPD directly — they go to her office and they hash things out in a way you wouldn’t see in a different position. As a judge, there could still be a certain degree of crossover, but would it work as well for a weekly procedural? We’re not entirely sure.
For those of you who want some other content from Moynahan’s interview, she does talk a little bit about filming some of those family dinner scenes, and how she is able to be to keep doing them for long stretches of time. After all, these cast members aren’t just stuffing their face for hours on end:
“I like mashed potatoes, but you can’t eat them for four hours and stay in shape … So mostly I just try to move the potatoes around with my fork. Tom Selleck butters a roll take after take.”
