‘The New Normal’ spoilers: ‘White Collar’s’ Matt Bomer cast as…

There’s one thing that you have to say about Ryan Murphy: the man is very good at getting some big names on his shows, including a number of people who he has worked with before.

In a new post on his Twitter account, Murphy made the following announcement concerning his latest show in “The New Normal,” and we have a feeling that this will make just about everyone excited who loves to see stars crossing over from one show to another:

“Guess who’s coming on The New Normal as Bryan’s sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!”

This appearance from the “White Collar” star comes several months removed from his appearance on “Glee,” where he made a memorable guest appearance as the brother to Darren Criss’ character of Blaine. The summer season of his USA drama series wrapped up a number of weeks ago, and it will return later this year in order to wrap up the season.

As for “The New Normal,” it’s really hard to argue with the claim that this is still very much a show on the rise. Murphy has developed a good thing here with some characters who are becoming more and more defined as the series progresses. He’s kept some of the sweetness from “Glee” while making the show more adult, and also keeping the focus on just a small group of characters along with some guest stars who will continue to pop up in the weeks ahead (including the likes of legendary “Star Trek” actor George Takei).

What do you think about this casting, and do you think Bomer really is perfect for this role?
