Is Grey’s Anatomy new tonight on ABC? More crossover teases

Grey's Anatomy season 15 episode 6

Is Grey’s Anatomy new tonight on ABC? It’s pretty clear at this point that there’s all sorts of good stuff to anticipate when the show returns — think in terms of an epic crossover event, coupled with two more stories beyond it that will help to send season 15 off into the sunset. Lives are in danger, characters are going to have to make big decisions, and at least two doctors could have their careers on the line … and that’s just based on the promo at the bottom of this article!

Unfortunately, you are going to have to wait for a little while in order to see much of this play out. For the bulk of this year so far, we’ve been really lucky when it comes to not having a lot of Grey’s Anatomy repeats to endure — think of this as a direct result of the show having a pretty short run this fall, and also them doing a whopping 25 episodes this season. However, even with a monster order like this, it does apparently still require a little break here and there. We have one of those breaks tonight, but rest assured come May 2 things are gonna be crazier than they’ve been in a while. The episode coming up is no ordinary one — it’s the two-part crossover with Station 19!

If you want to see a perspective on this crossover from the Station 19 side of things you can do so over at the link here! For the sake of this article though, we’re looking at things from a Grey’s Anatomy angle. In the midst of trying to save an important member of the Seattle Fire Department family, there are two characters who may be facing a certain degree of peril.

For Meredith – Could she really lose her medical license? A decision that she makes within this episode could have shocking reverberations. There is a part of us (consider it the “protect Meredith at all costs” part) that really does feel like Ellen Pompeo’s character should have something akin to a lifetime ticket, where she should really just be allowed to do almost anything that she wants without having to face any major consequences for it as long as it is working towards saving someone’s life. Then, there’s also that other part of us that remembers that you can’t just gift someone for life because of their actions of the past since this is a profession where you are always having to show that you are at the top of the game. The question here mostly is what Meredith could do to put herself in this position?

For Jo – It seems as though she makes a critical mistake within this episode, and it’s a little bit easier to speculate as to what that is. Maybe she goes to work drunk again, or maybe her mind is just so far away from where it should be that she slips up and does something to unintentionally harm a patient. She’s going through trauma and because she’s not giving herself any outlet to deal with it, she’s just bottling it up and hoping that it will all vanish into thin air. That’s not going to happen. Instead, it’s probably going to eat away at her career, her marriage, and everything else within her life that matters.

It does look as though Jo’s going to clue somebody in on what’s going on with her, but it probably won’t be until episode 24, the penultimate one of the season.
