Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10 preview: Another new alliance

Edge of Extinction

What’s coming up on Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 10? We knew that we wouldn’t get the same sort of drama we had tonight. Think in terms of only one Tribal Council as opposed to two — yet, the numbers are whittling, and that is what makes things a little bit more exciting. It’s even more exciting since we saw the newbies eliminate two returning players within the span of a single episode. Credit especially must be handed to Wardog and Ron for finding such a clever way to get rid of Kelley Wentworth without her playing the immunity idol.

If there’s one additional thing that makes this season exciting, it’s the simple fact that with every Tribal Council, you have to think in terms of who you’re putting on Edge of Extinction and how you do it. You’re not just thinking about the jury at this point; you’re thinking about who could return to the game! There’s a lot that goes into these decisions at this point and there are so many ways that you can make someone around you incredibly angry.

Based on the preview for what’s been coming up next, it seems like Wardog’s next move is to try and power up with as many other power players as possible — think in terms of Devens and also Ron, people who have put their neck out on the line in this game. If they can get rid of some of the “goats” (in their mind), they can make it far while protecting each other.

Yet, that’s going to be easier said than done, given that the preview also suggests that some of the other players within this game could target Devens — which makes some sense. He seems likable enough to impress a jury at the end of this, and he may even be able to overcome having been voted off previously. Lauren does have an idol still, and that could factor in now if she can determine the proper way to play it. She’s going to be in a tricky spot given that she’s basically lost two of her close allies in Kelley and Wardog in the span of just one single episode. That’s a lot to try and take on! There are eight players remaining, and this may actually be one of the most unpredictable seasons we’ve had in quite some time.
