Is Chicago PD new tonight on NBC? Season 6 episode 19 details

Chicago PD season 6

Is Chicago PD new tonight on NBC? If you’ve seen some of the previews for what’s coming up next, you know that there’s potential for one of the most dramatic episodes of the season. Kim Burgess’ recent boyfriend Blair is being killed off, and in the midst of that death, we’re actually met with a whole lot more questions than we are answers. Take, for example, whether or not this guy is anything close to who Burgess thought that he was.

The impression that we’ve gotten of Blair through the bulk of the season so far is pretty simple: A guy who doesn’t really know Chicago all that well and a guy who has shown off a nicer, softer side. It hasn’t been hard to figure out why Kim would be attracted to him … but his death could also raise some questions in her head. Is she really as perceptive as she thinks? We don’t think that she can blame herself but in situations like this, maybe you cycle through ALL of the emotions, pain, and grief. We actually think that it’s great that Kim found someone she could turn off some of her police-brain around and just enjoy her life.

We already know from the promo for this upcoming episode that Blair may have lived and secret double life; now, there’s even more insight out there on this subject.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Chicago PD season 6 episode 19 synopsis with some other insight when it comes to what’s ahead:

04/24/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : Intelligence’s investigation into the murder of Burgess’s (Marina Squerciati) boyfriend threatens to reveal a dark side she was unaware of. But the real motivation for his murder uncovers a much more unsettling truth.

What is this “unsettling truth”? One obvious theory that we’ve got at the moment is that Blair is secretly some sort of crime boss and through her, maybe he hoped to eventually get some insight scoop on the various ins and outs of the city. Or, maybe he’s actually someone who was hoping to inject even more politics in her life than she realized. He may have chosen her to be a possible love interest so that he could get close to her … and whoever murdered him may have known a thing or two about his real intentions.

We knew that Charles Michael Davis wasn’t sticking around Chicago PD forever, as he’s got a different gig over on TV Land’s Younger. The best thing that we could’ve hoped for was that the writers found some sort of fascinating way to write the guy off, and this is where we come with a big ol’ dose of good news. They’ve figured that out! If his role on the show is to create all sorts of chaos and a compelling murder mystery now, we’ll take it … though it’s hard to be happy at the idea of Burgess continuing to be unlucky in love. Doesn’t she deserve someone great?
